Retrosynth
This set of drawing tools was inspired by the synthwave, also known as outrun, retrowave, or futuresynth electronic music genre created in the 1980s. The era not only had new music, but also influenced a new aesthetic and art style. retrowave art compositions generally include neon purples, pinks, blues, and oranges. The subject matter generally includes a large sun or moon with grid patterns, stars, palm trees, and other neon looking compositions.
I really liked the pattern designs that I used for my drawing tool. The tool used to create the sun was purposely made a bit transparent to give it a softer look. I also enjoyed the star brush along with the pink square brush. I think both capture the elements of retrowave well while also being a unique set of tools. I think I could have improved on the blue neon tool. it had weird circles as you moved it rather than being one consistent line. I also wish that the pink and purple lines could have been straighter as they are very wobbly.
